How to use Study Unlock
From permissions to challenges, this page walks you through setup.
Requirements
- iOS 26 or later
- Parent ScreenTime permissions
- Apps/categories to monitor
Setup steps
1. Allow permissions
Grant FamilyControls permission on first launch.
2. Select apps
Choose apps/categories to monitor in Parent Settings.
3. Set limits
Configure daily limits and bonus caps.
4. Start monitoring
Tap “Start Monitoring” to enable limits and Shield.
Challenge flow
- When the limit is reached, the Shield screen appears.
- Tap “Math Challenge” to begin.
- Answer correctly to earn bonus time.
Troubleshooting
- Check that ScreenTime permissions are granted.
- Confirm the monitored apps/categories are selected.
- Restart the app to verify monitoring is restored.
